Local history in Staffordshire

I have always been fascinated by seeing blocks of Victorian villas, often 6 houses in one block.

I have recently been researching other blocks of cottages some in Church Lane, Wolstanton. Sadly I do not yet have any photos.This has lead to other research ideas.

One of the interesting things I am researching is the emigration of potters to America in the 1800s.

I have also been investigating the occupants of the Wolstanton Workhouse in 1841 and the occupants of the Newcastle Workhouse in 1921 as well as the children in the Basford Hall Scattered Home in 1921.
